Job Duties: My duties as a Material Handler and a Forklift Operator at
Madison Industries are:
1. Unload containers on the back of 18 wheelers by hand.
2. Stack the boxes that we take off the container onto
pallets by colors, sizes and Items.
3. Write down store numbers off the boxes and keep count
of all boxes in inventory by colors, sizes and items.
4. After a pallet is full I move the pallet with the forklift
onto the dock floor to later be moved into the back of the
warehouse or to the shipping floor.
5. I sometimes stack pallets and boxes into inventory.
6. I keep my work Station clean by sweeping and picking
up trash.
7. I sometimes help the order pullers pull orders.
8. I sometimes help the shipping clerk by shrimp wrapping
pallets and by labeling boxes that is being ready to get
shipped.
9. I load trucks that have to be floor stack because of the
lack of pallets.
10. Out of 4 warehouses we have I work at 3 of them doing
the same duties I describe above just sometimes for
different supervisors.
