properly

• Inspected newly installed equipment to adjust or correct operating problems

Welder

• Welded beams and columns with welding equipment including MIG and Stick welding, as specified by

layout, welding diagram, and work order

• Positioned parts in jigs and fixtures on bench and floor, and clamped parts together along layout marks

• Selected torch, torch tip, filler rod and flux, according to welding chart specifications and type and

thickness of metal

• Connected regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders and welding torch

• Examined weld for bead size and other specifications

• Welded along vertical and overhead weld lines

• Cut metal plates and structural shapes with gas torch

• Melted and applied solder along adjoining edges of work pieces to solder joints, using soldering irons,

gas torches, or electric-ultrasonic equipment
