Tissue Culture Lab Technician January 2013 - February 2014
• Responsible for the daily cell passage of both maintenance and production flasks aseptically, harvesting
cells from flasks, Electrapette cells onto slides, and fixation of cells to substrate slides.
• Train and supervise lab technicians, and lab support staff to best aid in the manufacturing process and
comply with GMP.
• Prepare monthly schedule for all tissue culture staff to optimize product output.
• Perform research and development projects as directed by the Director of Operations.
• Test and approve raw materials necessary for the passage of all cell cultures and the production of all
slides, and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Follow all approved standard operating procedures and complete production in accordance with FDA
requirements.
• Responsible for reviewing all documentation of cell work and slide manufacturing in accordance with
standard protocol that ensures accurate record keeping.
• Perform daily inspection of spent solvent drums, CO2 tanks, and Liquid Nitrogen vessels, and fill, order,
and replace when necessary.
• Work with and remove bio-hazardous waste from work area utilizing all necessary precautions.
• When needed aid lab support staff in: racking, traying up, inspecting, packaging, and bundling slides.
• Work weekends and holidays to ensure proper cell seeding.
