Project tile : "SOC Design of Audio Recording and Playback modules using Xillinux and

ARM Cortex-A9 processor on Zynq™-7000 Platform"

Description : The interfacing of the Cortex-A9 processor with the Zynq FPGA on a zed board

represents a significant advance in embedded board-level products. Xillinux is a complete,

graphical, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS-based Linux distribution for the Zedboard. Xillinux is a kickstart

development platform for integration between the devices’ FPGA logic fabric and plain user

space applications running on the ARM processors. The main purpose of this project is to embed

a Xillinux Operating System on a Zed Board development platform, based on Xilinx’s Zynq

7000 SOC and to design an audio recording and audio playback modules on this platform.

Project title : “GPS Based Automatic Location Finder”

Description : The main objective of the project is to find the location of the vehicle

while moving. The GPS receiver within the vehicle continuously receives the information

from the GPS satellites. The data received from the satellite is processed. The data from the

receiver is processed using the microcontroller to obtain the position of the vehicle in terms

of latitude, longitude and altitude. This information will be displayed on the LCD.
