2/99 to Present Macys Systems and Technology
Sr. Systems Analyst/Project Manager/Development Lead
Full-life cycle development of Risk Management System,
consisting of Accident Reporting, Safety Management and Business
Continuity Life Safety Plan, including requirements gathering,
technical/functional specifications, storyboarding, coding
(front-end, business layer and back-end) and unit and system
testing. All systems written in ASP and .NET with SQL Server
and Oracle back ends. These applications have resulted in a
reduction of over 2400 man-hours of effort on a monthly basis
across the company. Worked with System Owners, Managers,
Directors and Vice Presidents developing concepts, design ideas,
and implementation of all three systems across all 800+
locations. Mentored other programmers learning ASP, .NET, Web
Services and SQL Server.
Developed and maintained Security Information System (SIS) to
track arrests and perform background checks for 7 department
store chains using ASP and SQL Server. Trained users and helped
manage project.
Managed, designed and developed Common Civil Recovery System
(CCR) to initiate and track restitutions made by individuals
based on feeds from SIS system using ASP, SQL Server and SSIS
packages. System automatically generates collection letters,
records payments made, and out sources delinquent payments to
third party for collection via FTP server. Application is
directly responsible for collecting $8-$10 million worth of
restitutions on a yearly basis.
Managed, designed and developed Fraud Loss Prevention Management
System (FLPM) to help track and prosecute internal fraud and
theft cases. Converted application from VB application to Web-
based, .NET application.
Developed Desktop Alert Notification tool to alert security, via
desktop pop-up display and audio sound when a store transaction
is outside the limits defined by the system. This provides
security personnel with a tool to quickly review the transaction
for potential fraudulent activity. Mentored other programmers
learning ASP, VB.NET and SQL Server.
Project Manager for Macy's BOPS (Buy Online-Pickup in Store)
development effort. Worked with System Owners, Project
Managers, and Directors across the corporation to develop and
implement a system that allows customers to make purchases
online and have them picked up in the nearest location.
Directed our specific team effort to ensure that real-time BOPS
transactions were filtered through our Fraud detection system
and processed without negatively impacting processing time in
our current system.
Project Manager for Macy's-May conversion effort. Worked with
System Owners, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors. Provided
team of 10 with direction, requirements, and scheduling to
ensure data and code merging of 200+ Mays locations with 200+
Macy's locations was a smooth and seamless transition.

Provide technical support to corporate-wide sales force and customer base
for Year 2000 line of products. Accompany sales managers to potential
customers to provide technical support during demonstrations.

Headed development team that was responsible for upgrading and redesigning
in-house sales tool
CHECKMATE using VB 5.0. Headed entire project from JAD sessions through

Application allows sales force to configure potential switching system for
customer, and generate quotes and purchase orders based on the
configuration options selected. Updates to pricing tables are performed
via an update disk that is sent to the field personnel, and imported via
the application.
