Designer web integration project. Created a Test Design Specification
document to define the direction of testing for the project.
. Created a test environment with a Windows 2008 server hosting several
virtual machines. Virtual machines were created and hosted using
Microsoft Hyper-V.
. Set up Windows Sharepoint Services servers whenever a new build was
released. Configured the Sharepoint site with correct user permissions
and populated it with Tasks, documents, and workflows. Installed
Sharepoint Designer as part of the Office 14 client install to verify
server and Sharepoint site functionality.
. Filed bugs in the internal bug database. Worked closely with developers
and program managers to ensure that project is on track and that all test
areas were covered.
Microsoft Corporation - SDET January 21 2008 to November 2008
. As the main tester for the Engineering Excellence group's CheckPoint
Express application, I drove the User Interface testing effort for the
latest major release - from the early planning stages, through User
Acceptance Testing and to final release. I was responsible for testing
all hotfixes and QFE's.
. Working closely with Program Management and a small development team, I
was responsible for filing bugs and creating test cases in a Team
Foundation Server database. Tasks were created and managed in TFS. The
team was able to meet all milestones and the project shipped on time.
. I coordinated bug bashes and worked directly with users in regular-
scheduled UAT sessions to ensure that the product was in accordance with
user requirements. Assigned test areas and test scripts to test
participants. I scheduled build and deploy tasks and worked with the
Operations team to push out latest versions of the application the team's
production, demo, Test and UAT environments. I performed Build
Verification Testing on each new build prior to official testing. After a
build completes testing, I sign off on each as appropriate.
LexisNexis - Software Test Engineer April 16, 2007 to December 21, 2007
. As part of the Concordance QA team, performed testing on a suite of
litigation support software products. This included daily testing of
desktop and web-based applications, setting up test environments,

test cases in Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server. Perform
BVT's and regression testing based on these test cases.
. Work within an Agile software development model. This includes
participating in daily scrum meetings, working closely with developers
and program management, and working within shorter, well-defined
development cycles.
Microsoft Corporation - Software Test Engineer July 3, 2006 to
December, 2006
. Working with the Windows Genuine Advantage team, performed testing that
verifies whether or not Windows software on users' machines is genuine
and verified the functionality of builds before release. Ensured that the
team's test computers were ready to handle testing as new releases came
up.
. Created jobs using WTT, a Microsoft internal test suite, to automate
frequently executed tests and incorporate new tasks into the test
process.

2006
. Worked directly with the development manager to perform testing on
websites prior to their release to the Quality Assurance team.

data and to check whether released code was functioning properly.
Microsoft Corporation - Test Lead March 2005 to March 2006
. As Test Lead for the Xbox Application Production team, I tested internal
and external web applications used by Microsoft employees and industry
partners. Reviewed technical specifications, wrote test plans and test
cases, filed bugs and coordinated with developers and project managers to
keep the projects on track. I was responsible for certifying these
projects for release to production.
. Lead and primary tester for the X-Certification database project, a web-
based application created to streamline the billion-dollar Xbox and
Xbox360 game certification process. Constantly-changing business
requirements dictated by users from both the US and the UK made this a
challenging project that went through several revisions and required a
flexible development and testing approach.
. Helped establish structured software development processes within the
team. After the development team makes a build available, this position
required access to source control, copying required files and running the
appropriate SQL scripts to propagate the build to the test servers. After
it passed Build Verification Testing, it was made available for a full
test pass.
. Regularly coordinated User Acceptance Testing with the team's customers,
which allowed the team to learn how customers used the tools and quickly
resolve issues as they arise. Scheduled and coordinated weekly bug triage
meetings wherein Development, Program Management, Test, and Support
groups in the team prioritized and managed the team's bugs.
. My duties included managing and monitoring the team's web support tool.
Routed requests for support to the appropriate owners as they were
received. Also created a working Manual to cover the most common support
issues as part of an ongoing effort to streamline support operations.
Microsoft Corporation - Software Test Engineer March 5, 2001 to
February 28, 2005
. Performed daily Enterprise testing for WTT, an internal test suite that
Microsoft released within the company and eventually to its vendor
partners. Working with both the development team and the test team,
installed Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000 on several server-class
machines and set these machines up to work as an Enterprise to simulate a
large-scale deployment. Clients were installed against the enterprise
controller and would execute jobs sent from the controller.
. Set up, managed, and maintained a 200-machine lab that ran daily
reliability and stress tests. These included both 32-bit and 64-bit
machines and operating systems ranging from Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000,
Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Longhorn, which were used as
clients for daily enterprise Stress testing, running several hundred
thousand tests a night.
. Wrote test plans to define the scope of testing for the various projects
I was involved in. Also wrote specifications for projects and tools
created within my team. Wrote test cases for each feature in my area and,
where possible, automated test cases using XML in conjunction with
scripts and internal tools. While working on the WTT project, wrote test
cases for the majority of the features. Created over 600 test cases in
the internal database and helped define the scope of early testing in a
two-month period.
. Set up, managed and maintained a laptop migration lab. I wired this
office to accommodate 35 test machines, set up network connectivity,
ensured that all test systems were attached to the debugger, and
maintained a state of readiness to assure the smooth flow of daily tests.
Ran Visual Basic and C++ automation scripts.
. Performed laptop migration testing for Windows XP. These laptops were
used to test migration from down-level operating systems to Windows XP
Professional and Home versions. After the release of Windows XP, focus
shifted to Windows XP Service Packs, Windows Server 2003 & Windows
Longhorn.
. Assisted new team members by providing training, feedback and mentoring
in order to familiarize them with team procedures and their assigned
tasks. Worked with several versions of various internal databases to
report, track and resolve bugs.

XP System Migration team. Test machines and devices were upgraded to
Windows XP with testing focused on device functionality.
