Mr. Houston worked in the Applications Development Branch (ADB) as their sole Lotus Notes engineer. He
designed, developed and engineered Domino solutions for ADB. He worked with various branches to get new
servers into the environments and ensured that the servers were delivered according to specifications. He also
was responsible for moving databases from development to the production environment. This included submitting
Change Requests (CR) and DNS requests as well as signing agents and modifying ACLs. Depending on the
complexity of the databases, this process could be timely so he kept the developers informed every step of the
way.

Senior Lotus Notes Engineer
Mr. Houston supported a Agency’s Technical Center as a Senior Lotus Notes Engineer. He lead the engineering
efforts to collapse the Domino domains from 5 to 1 as well as upgraded the servers and clients from version 6.5.4
to 7.0.2. He installed and configured GroupShield (antivirus) across the enterprise as well as setup other
programs to ensure that the servers were operating at peak performance. He also installed ND 8.0.1 with
Sametime in a test environment so that the other admins and developers could familiarize themselves with the
new enhancements and features. There were 2 junior admins on the team and Mr. Houston worked with them on
a daily basis to teach them more about the Notes/Domino application.

Mr. Houston supported the Open Source Center, OPS Engineering Team as a Senior Lotus Notes Engineer. He
designed, developed and engineered the efforts to upgrade all Lotus Notes clients and Domino servers from R5 to
ND6 in the SUN enterprise. He also implemented AdminP and ADSync which are two tools that allow the System
Admins (SAs) to complete their admin tasks more efficiently. In addition to the other Notes/Domino engineering
tasks, Mr. Houston worked closely with the SAs as they support the day to day operations of the Notes/Domino
environment.

Mr. Houston supported the Agency’s Notes Team, Collaborative Services Engineering Branch (CSEB) as a Senior
Lotus Notes Engineer. He was the lead engineer of the new ICE-mail system that was responsible for delivering
messages to various organizations in the Intelligence Community. His Domino expertise and knowledge were
used on several other projects such as Hierarchical Naming Convention (HNC) and Mail Template Upgrades just
to name two. Other duties included being responsible for investigating problems and providing technical expertise
on the Agency’s Domino server infrastructure.

Mr. Houston supported the National Imagery and Mapping Agency's (NIMA) SCI Consolidation Program as the
Senior Lotus Notes Engineer. He was responsible for engineering, designing, and implementing the entire Lotus
Notes domain for NIMA. In addition to his engineering efforts, Mr. Houston orchestrated the movement of 1500+
Lotus Notes accounts and 100+ databases from the NIMA network to the new Common Workgroup Environment
(CWE) environment.

Mr. Houston supported the BAE's Operations and Maintenance contract for NIMA at the Washington Navy Yard.
He was the functional area manager of the Office Network Support LAN teams that provided operations and

and the support staff. The Intelink team provided systems and database administration, and applications
integration and development support to the NIMA Intelink Production Coordination Center. The ILS team supported

the administration of two high-level E-mail systems supporting the White House staff. He developed training plans
and served as the primary trainer for all E-mail customers to the level of the National Security Advisor to the
President.
