Software Tester

NextPos point of sale software provides businesses with a cash register system that stores product

information, making the checkout process quicker and also provides with detailed reports.

As a software tester I had tested Credit Card Authorization using test harness to make sure users are charged

for using internet, CD/DVD-ROMS and printers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Followed the Agile Methodology for the project.

Involved in writing the Test Cases on the basis of Use Cases and Technical Design Document.

Analyzed Requirements, defining Test Cases, developing and maintaining Test Scripts.

process of capturing employee work hours.

My job as QA Analyst was to test Time Card module. Also my job was to test the business rules for rate

accuracy, hours calculated and privileges associated with the time card.

Agile Methodology was followed for this project.

Assisted Lead in sprint planning, organizing sub tasks and added backlog grooming.

Tested different Roles such as Admin, Manager, Contractor and Employee in Time Card to

verify that they have necessary privileges relating to Time Card.

Involved in System Testing, that Time Card and Payroll Module are working as per requirement.

Performed Exit Criteria, and made application available for User Acceptance Test.

Helped user to carry out UAT, send any changes user asked for. Followed with management closely

to make sure that user is completely satisfied with the application before we can deploy to

production.
