Synthesis and Evaluation of 4-Amino Chalcones :

The study was aimed to Synthesize a series of 4-Amino chalcones by a

base catalyzed Claisen-Schemidt condensation between a substituted aromatic

aldehyde and 4-aminoacetophenone and all prepared compounds were

Characterized by Physical and Spectral methods(IR,NMR,) and followed by

biological screening for in vitro Anti-microbial Activity(antibacterial,

antifungal) and in vitro anti oxidant Activity and Compared with Standard

Drugs.

M.PHARM PROJECT:

Formulation and Evaluation of Candesartan Cilexetil Transdermal

Proniosomal gel :

The study was aimed to formulate and evaluate the proniosomal gel of

candesartan cilexetil so as to release the drug in a controlled manner for

extended period of time. Proniosomal gel formulations from PNF1 to PNF12

were prepared by Coacervation phase separation method, using various Non

ionic surfactants, soya lecithin and cholesterol in 9:9:1 and 9:9:2 ratios.

All the formulations were characterized for vesicle size, encapsulation

efficiency, in vitro drug diffusion study. Best formulations were

characterized for ex vivo drug permeation study using rat abdominal skin.

Among all the formulations PNF7 (span60,soyalecithin,cholesterol present in

9:9:2) was selected as an optimized formulation due to low vesicle size,

high encapsulation efficiency and showed drug release (95.89 0.26%) in a

controlled manner with a flux value of 1.89 ?g/cm2 /hr and permeability co

efficient value of 0.094 cm2/hr as compared to other compositions.
