Relevant Experience

Perform a variety of tasks related to day-to-day product transportation, delivery,

receipt, and control for a distribution center. Primary duties included driving

medium to heavy weight trucks over short and/or long distances to deliver a

variety of products to customers in compliance with all company safety policies

as well as all State and Federal transportation regulations.

Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.

Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms

of size, amount, and type.

Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to company.

Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move

with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork

accompanies delivery.

Maintain professional representation of the company in all interactions with

customers and through responsible driving

Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulation

including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, etc.

Abide by all company safety policies as well as all State and Federal

transportation regulations.

Occasionally operate industrial vehicles (forklift, pallet jack, lift gates) as well as

scales, scanners, and drum clamps.

Ability to perform single mathematical calculations and mental ability to handle

receipts, road maps, and road signs.

Possess a working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.

Ability to apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering

vehicle in varying speeds, in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement

weather or in tight loading areas.

Ability to carry out oral and written instructions as well as to communicate orally

and in writing.

Possess strong attention to detail, ability to establish and maintain professional

and cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work day.

Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
