I have over 18 years of experience in the operation, testing, maintenance,
trouble shooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems,
communications and a wide variety of installation experience in commercial
and industrial electrical/electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
Appointed as Senior Electronics Technician and Installation Team Leader in
the General Dynamics Team for the Multiplexer Integration and DCSS
Automation System (MIDAS) Installation Teams. On this team, he has been
involved in the installation and testing of the MIDAS equipment at SATCOM
sites throughout the world.
EXPERIENCE:
Construction Electrician 3, MJM Electric
11/13- Present
Preformed rip outs of old electrical distribution systems and installing
new power panels and 480 volts 3 phases disconnects. Operating Terex man
lift with approved safety harness at 60 feet to install L.E.D lighting with
pulling in associated wires through rigid conduit to power panel.
Participated in soil excavations to locate damaged PVC conduit to repair,
also to measure new runs to new disconnect locations while using drawings.
Proficient in former 4/0 wire in main breakers and landing circuits in
power panel while maintaining equal phasing to insure no Phase overloading.
Demonstrates ability in MCT bending rigid and none rigid 2 inch down to
and smaller. Proficient in using the ohms law graph to calculate
alternating and direct current electrical circuits. Demonstrated ability to
read Programmable Logics Control indicators to trouble shoot to distant end
of circuit to determine true positions of proximity switch indicators on
gate valves using wire and block diagrams while corresponding with others
on handheld radios to find and fix problems as well as terminating
associated control and power wires.
Sr. Engineering Associate, Honeywell Aerospace
04/11-04/13
Preformed various tests to maintain readiness for Atlas 5 operations while
Ensuring FOE and Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESDS) certification per
FPC29100-03. Proficient in using test equipment such as: oscilloscopes,
spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, and multi-meters in order to
receive correct accurate readings. Trained personal on numerous thermal,
continuity, voltage isolation, fault isolation, visual inspections on FTINU
and RRGU testing environment for system readiness. Proficient in
calculating and soldering resisters under microscope to circuit boards to
use in full functional testing. Verified items of test equipment and other
General Purpose Test Equipment (GPTE) utilized for tests shall be certified
and bear evidence of calibration, indicating the date of calibration and
the calibration due date. Worked alone on weekends and Holidays with no
supervision to maintain readiness for up and coming Launch dates by used
basic math to verify stability on thermal testing to advance testing to
next phase of the testing process. Updated E-factory to reflect what phase
of the test process (Run or Completed) and communicated to rest of test
team this information by e-mail and verbally. Proficient in reading and
understanding SOD 1687 and 1786 for FTINU and RRGU Recording temperatures,
calculations and other useful information such as power applied, script
wait times, failure indications, Gyro temperatures and other normal
anomalies that my happen in the test process in the Unit log books to be
archived.
Senior Field Engineer Associate, Installation Team Leader - General
Dynamics, Inc,
08/01 - 10/10
Under the USAISEC TRADOC headed installation teams for SIPRNET extensions
on numerous Army posts throughout the world. Utilized task order for the
U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC) to enhanced
secure network connectivity in accordance with the IEP and Engineering
Drawings. Headed installation support for: Defense Satellite Communication
Systems (DSCS), Teleport Gen II Phase I, Gen II Phase II and L-Band (LBIU)
projects. Installed Global Terrestrial Critical Control Circuit (GTC3S), 52
and 78 Earth Terminal Projects. Preformed and demonstrates the ability and
knowledge in installing and testing of various systems to include:
Multiplexer Integration and Digital Communication Satellite Automation
Systems (MIDAS), Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modems (EBEM), Promina 800,
Trunk Encryption Devices (KIV-19A), TRANSEC (KIV-7M), Ancillary Equipment
Racks (Firebird 8000), Firebird 6000, Defense Information System Network -
Tactical Edge (DISN-TE), Ka-Stars L-Band IF Patch and Equipment Racks,
extension of serial ports for BBS-1000, PSAX and ATM. Tasks for these
projects include the installation and testing of fiber optic and copper
extensions as well as the equipment racks, Cisco Switches and TACLANES.
Proficient with the removal and disposition of legacy modems and equipment
racks at the completion of each install. Worked directly with the On-Site
Engineer regarding network changes that may affect any circuits and
provided updated (red line) drawings, per the current Project Engineering
Plan (PEP) and/or Project Concurrence Memorandum (PCM), updates over all
installation progress, In addition, submits status reports to upper
management for job performance accountability. Operated 10 ton fork lift to
off load equipment to inventory
Electronics Technician II - Shipboard - General Dynamics
04/01 - 08/01
Demonstrated in the principles of electricity, electronics, for shipboard
(Naval and Coast Guard) shore installations, antennas/support structures
and Lab environments. Initiated overall installation, troubleshooting,
repair, operation, installation testing. Works directly from blueprints,
drawings, red line drawings, technical manuals, handbooks and other
technical documentation. Performed work above Military Specifications
Standards (MILSPEC). Initiated various tests that may have required minor
red line modification in test setups or procedures, as well as subjective
judgments in measurements. Operates standard test equipment and records
test data of the overall task as well as coordination. Performed as a Task
Leader on various scaled programs and tasks.
Electricians Mates 3rd Class - United States Navy
