Brief Description:

State Street is an investment bank. It provides back office support for many institutional investors. One such

application doing fund auditing is PnA workstation. PnA is a desktop application that helps fund managers to

audit on funds and take necessary decisions. State Street acquired ICC. ICC Workstation is an application

similar to PnA workstations. Currently there is some functionality which is present in ICC-PERS and not

supported by PnA system; hence it's required to accommodate key functionalities of ICC-PERS application

into existing current PnA workstation. Decommissioning the ICC_PERS application would reduce the

prevalence of resources and duplication of efforts. Also current PNA desktop will be converted as web based

application.

trading partner with a web-based facility for 270/271 HIPAA transactions for healthcare eligibility request and

response. Scope of the project is to provide the enhancements for the CAQH-EDI batch application.

Project Name - Sterling Mailbox Client- Well Point

From Oct 2007 - Oct 2008

Brief Description:

CA EDI Gateway Utilizes the Sterling software UNIX Mailbox as a communication hub to interface with

Trading Partners (Providers) using dial up connectivity. The provider will submit request (Claim or Batch)

using Z-modem/FTP protocol to the sterling mailbox, each of the provider is given an account. They connect

to the mailbox using HyperTerminal.

Incoming files are processed by backend application and FTPed to California Mainframe. Basic validation is

done by application itself like validating record length and envelope. This process of picking up of claims and

Ftping to Mainframes is known as INBOUND PROCESS. Mainframe processes the file and FTP the

response to the specific directory in UNIX box. This is known by the name OUTBOUND PROCESS. The

backend application processes the response and sends it to corresponding submitter's mailbox. The

application runs on Java and UNIX shell script, and the monitoring has to be done 24X7 looking for ports,

whether it is working or not.
