Job Design:
The Local Unit Operator is responsible for the safe, environment compliant and
reliable efficient operation of the boiler and power house and its auxiliaries in the
local area.
Responsibilities:
• Operate the plant and equipment according to operating manual.
• Record and monitor local parameters and report any defect or
abnormalities and execute appropriate operator action.
• Performs routine checks, tests, changeover of equipment
and reports any defect or abnormalities.
• Coordinates with control room operator for daily operational activities.
• Check the condition of the equipment before start-up, during operation
and after shutdown.
• Properly turns over the plant and auxiliaries to the incoming shift.
• Isolate and de-isolate equipment as instructed by the Shift Leader.
• Assisting in plant start up and shutdown activities.
• Ensure cleanliness of the plant.
