Academic Projects

1) “WIRELESS HOME AUTOMATION- A PRODUCT”

Description:

My Masters Final Year Project, done using Jennic (JN5148) and Renesas controllers(RL78 family). The purpose of this project is to provide a sense of security and comfort. Using Wireless technology the cost of wiring of Home Automation System can be reduced as well as a reliable and secure communication can be achieved.

This system contains of four main components:

i) Intelligent Home Gateway module with Wi-Fi(802.15.4)

ii) Intelligent network modules with Jennet(802.15.4)

iii) Smart keypad for manual control

iv) Intelligent environment detection sensor modules

The various features of the system include turning any home appliances or devices, playing media applications.

2)”EMBEDDED POWER CONTROL AND OPTIMISATION”

Description:

Project is a novel approach to control the speed of the fan and intensity of bulb automatically according to human movements. In this sophisticated world every activity is getting atomized with the help of electronic concepts. All the way so far we have seen that any controlling of parameters, measuring as well as testing of circuits or components is carried out with analogue instruments. So we decided to develop a microcontroller aid which is helpful for the above purpose which is called as EMBEDDED POWER CONTROL AND OPTIMISATION. This system is very useful in summer seasons, as during this period fan’s and light’s requirement are crucial. Since the available power source is limited, due to lack of water storage, it is advisable to use the available resources effectively. So this system controls the speed of the fan with respect to room’s temperature & intensity of bulb is controlled by darkness of the room and hence prevents unnecessary power wastage. One more additional feature is: whenever human presence is detected in the room then only bulb and fan puts ON.

3)”WIRELESS GPS DATA LOGGER”

Description:

Project is a novel approach for the safety and security of wildlife animals. This project is installed in Bandipur forest. A GPS module with wireless transmission is installed on every vehicle that enters the forest and the speed of the vehicle is continuosly monitored when the speed crosses the 40kph the time,speed and location will be noted down and corresponding data will be sent to station, Based on the received data fine will be generated by the system.
