consultations, and nursing education programs. Reason for leaving: Started my own pharmacy.

Owner and operator. Started from zero and built up to 350 rxs per day average. Was

doing over $ 1 million gross annually when sold (1984 dollars). Handled the pharmacy and

ownership responsibilities by myself. Worked with two ambulatory care facilities, handled all

third party billing, and had personal charge accounts. We did monthly health screenings such as

blood pressure, diabetes, and rectal colon cancer. I implemented a pharmacy computer system

in the last years. Managed a staff of up to 6 employees. Reason for selling: Worked about 80-

100 hrs per week-wanted a family life.

system in 1985. Cedar and Dakota store was doing 200-300 rxs per week when started as

manager, and was doing 1100 rxs per week when left. Also in charge or local pharmacists

vacation scheduling and salary negotiations. Reason for leaving : Irreconcilable differences.

Pharmacy Manager-In charge of all daily activities both in prescription and OTC

department. Managed up to 7 people. Had steady growth during my tenure. Reason for

leaving: Better scheduling and fewer hours (had to work 45 hrs per wk).

Rite-Aid 750 W Bullard Fresno, CA 7/97-4/04

Pharmacy Manager-Moved from Blackstone and Shaw to this location in 2000. Did

about 750 rxs per week with a staff of 2 techs and 1 staff pharmacist.

Rite-Aid 8027 N Cedar Fresno, CA 4/04-9/05

Transferred to help with high volume store until staff returned from leave. Reason for

leaving: Management didn’t keep promise to return me to my old store.

Target Pharmacy 3173 E Shields Ave Fresno, CA 9/05-12/08

Pharmacy Manager-Started at 4 yr old pharmacy doing 700 per week, and was doing

1200 per week when I left, even after Long’s moved right across the street. Managed a staff of

2 other pharmacists, 3 techs, and 2 clerks. Reason for leaving: Store Manager was in charge of

pharmacy even though he knew nothing about it. Different ideas as to what was important.

Relief Pharmacist-some retail but worked the last 10 months at Community Hospital of

Fresno. Reason for leaving: Community decided to hire all pharmacists in house, and Rx

Relief couldn’t guarantee me enough hours.
