Objective To attain a position with a client and team oriented business that promotes my customer service aptitude while
expanding company wide knowledge to meet office oriented goals.
Experience Hospitality Associate June 2010 June 2012
Hospitality associates at Carolina East Medical Center work in the dietary department. During my employment
as a hospitality associate, I communicated with the patients, doctors, and nurses. Ensuring the correct diet per
patient was severely important. Once the correct information from the doctor and nurses were in, the patient
could order their food. The food was personally delivered to the patient’s rooms for breakfast, lunch, and
dinner.
Patient Registration Counselor June 2012 December 2013
Additionally, I worked as a patient registration counselor in the emergency room at Carolina East Medical
Center. Patient registration counselors obtain insurance, demographic information, and any signatures from the
patient’s. The job also required basic secretary skills. Doctors give their orders to the patient registration staff
that in turn gets the patient admitted upstairs.
Cashier February 2013 Present
Currently, I reside at Realo Discount Drugs. I take phone calls, deliver medication to customers, as well as do
the essential office faxes, copies, etc.
Education New Bern High School 2009 2012
I graduated New Bern High School with honors in 2012.
Craven Community College 2012 present
I am currently taking online classes at Craven Community College to complete an Associate in Science
degree.
My skills have been amplified while working at Carolina East Medical Center. In dietary, I learned to have
Skills
patient skills and how to deal with threatening situations. Patience was key in the department. The most
valuable skill I have taken with me from dietary is to always think of the patient before you. The patient might
not be in the superlative mood but then again, they are not feeling up to par. In patient registration, I acquired
many skills. I am superb in many computer programs such as AS400, Chartmax, Wellsoft, and PatientWorks. I
am above average in knowing insurance codes as well as certain medical procedures. I also know how to read
doctors orders. My dependability and typing efficiency are also an expertise of mine. I have knowledge of
HIPPA procedures as well as insurance forms that patients have to fill out. Communication, customer service,
and responsibility are further skills that I have acquired.
