PROJECTS:
. WIND TURBINE PITCH CONTROL: Designed and built a sustainable pitch
controlled wind turbine using anemometer to trigger the pitching
mechanism. Responsibilities included project management, modeling
Control and Tests of 3-blade Wind Turbines using AUTOCAD 2D and 3D,
Simulations in MATLAB/SIMULINK, Designing all Circuitry and motor
control hardware and software using LM298 package and MSP430.
Completed assembly according to schematics and blueprints of auxiliary
power units which includes gearbox, turbine Plenum, starters motor and
embedded electronic components
. NARROWBAND RECEIVER: Designed and built an analog RF system with super
heterodyne typology to build a 50-55 MHz narrowband receiver using
COLPITTS oscillators and SA612 active Mixer. Incorporated analog front-
end, low-noise amplifiers, variable gain, anti-aliasing filters. Used
low-noise signal integrity techniques to design circuit boards.
Analyzed spectral data with MATLAB and Excel
. WIRE FOLLOWER ROBOT: Designed and built an automated system that used
CMOS current comparator and electromagnetic induction to autonomously
follow a 30 feet copper wire with random turns using Xilinx Spartan 3E
FPGA. Responsibilities included organizing engineering tasks,
programming microcontrollers and FPGAs, designing power, analog and
digital circuits, high-speed PCB layout, soldering and assembly of
components, and debugging.
. VESSELS INSTRUMENTATION CONTROL: Designed a control system to monitor
fluid Level, flow rate and operating voltage for PVC batch process
vessel. Control procedure used DCS controller with I/O subsystem and
I/O modules with a closed loop system.
