New Canaan, CT. 06840
Store Manager
03/1995 to 08/2003
Responsibilities included all operational and sales goals for running a upscale women's
sportswear store. The small family franchise was based out of Marblehead Massachusetts. The
New Canaan store, one of six other stores, grossed an annual high capital of two million dollars
in an 800 square foot store. The sales increased by 40% in the eight years I managed. The
success was due to several outside factors but the target key was always a high level of customer
service. To not only provide a service but to be able to forecast future customer needs.
Management responsibilities included the hiring of staff, the management of payroll, inventory
levels, profit and loss, shipping and receiving, and promotions for events and in the community.
Relevant skill
My relevant skill set for this position is a combination of my career history in conjunction with
my recent education and degree in human service and management. To help individuals plan,
organize, and implement their desired goals while dealing with adverse situations. The ability to
change our lives and thrive takes the support and guidance of a few key individuals.
