The leading developer of cloud-based, Electronic Health Records software in the senior living space.
Senior Marketing and Communications Manager
Reported to the Vice President of Marketing and was promoted from Manager to Senior Manager only a
few months into the role. Performed as interim Director of Marketing Communications for 10 months after
the resignation of the incumbent. Managed a team of six direct reports including the Customer Marketing
Manager, Events Manager and several Marketing Specialists. Responsible for all external
communications including email campaigns and social media development. Managed relationships with
senior executives and existing clients. Determined communications strategies and ensured consistent
industry messages while dealing with various internal and external resources including the media.
Led a team consisting of a Creative Director, Web Designer and a host of senior level

Product Marketing Managers to completely restructure the architecture of the existing website
while applying newly formed brand messaging and positioning. This 12-month project led to a
5% increase in web traffic and sales conversions in the first quarter since launching. Phase 2
of this project will include more elaborate social media integration including the development
of a blog designed with thought leadership and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in mind.

One of the largest global distributors of technology products, services and solutions. In Canada, they
service over 5,000 value added resellers (VARs) and have relationships with all top tier vendors such as
HP, Cisco, IBM and Lenovo.
Communications Manager
Reported to the Director of Marketing and managed a staff of two including a Graphic Artist and
Communications Specialist. Responsible for both internal/external communications including being Editor
of a bi-monthly print/digital publication called Tech Times targeted at the reseller network. Ensured the
marketing department remained profitable by growing the number of pages of the publication from 20 to
approximately 40, thus having the space to sell more advertising. In addition, moved the publication to a
digital format.
Spearheaded the development of a new Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) publication

insert to go into Tech Times. Created the most extensive publication in the history of Tech Data at
72 pages and over $40K in advertising profit.
Brought all PR activities in-house for an annual cost savings of $48K while fostering key

relationships with external media. Increased media coverage by approx. 21% over previous year.
