PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a very dedicated individual looking to obtain a challenging and responsible position with a
growing organization. I am seeking a position that will make full use of my skills and abilities
which will contribute to the growth and success of the organization
WORK EXPERIENCE
STORE MANAGER MAY 2013 - PRESENT
HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS, EASTLAKE, OHIO
Manage a tool store that produces $6 million in annual sales. Since taking over as manager of
the store, the weekly sales have increased an average of 20 percent over last year. I reorganized
the stockroom to assist in making the truck unloading process and the merchandise management
process more effecient. I evaluated each associate in the store and assigned associates in a
position in the store which I felt their talents would be more effective. Verified balance on hands
on the SKU's in the store to correct inventory levels which resulted in improved in-stock levels in
the store which has contributed to the weekly increase in sales.
STORE MANAGER FEB 1998 - APRIL 2013
CVS PHARMACY, LAKEWOOD, OHIO
Manage a drugstore that produces $17 million in annual sales. The annual sales have increased
over six million dollars while being the Store Manager. Manage and guide forty employees to
maximize sales and profit based on customer needs. Trained and developed fifteen employees
to become assistant managers and store managers with the company. Assisted the District
Manager in overseeing four challenge stores in the district to get those stores back in shape and
assisted the Store Managers with developing a plan to put these stores back on the right track in
appearance, performance and sales. In 2008, I was awarded the Area Paragon Award, which is
an award that is given to the top managers in the company.
OPERATIONS MANAGER JUL 1996 - FEB 1998
HILLS DEPARTMENT STORE, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO
Manage the operations portion of the business which included the receiving of trucks, cashiers,
inventory control team, layaway department and the office staff. I implemented a program
involving the receiving of the truck, breaking down the pallets and how the merchandise was
staged on the sales floor, which shortened a third of the time it took to process a truck than what
it took to process a truck prior. This program was implemented into all the stores in the district, in
which I had to visit each store and evaluate each stores progress with the program.
STORE MANAGER JAN 1990 - JUL 1996
REVCO DISCOUNT DRUG STORE, LORAIN, OHIO
Manage a drugstore that produced five million in annual sales. Manage and guide twenty to
twenty-five employees to maximize sales and profit based on customer needs. In this time frame,
I managed two stores in South Carolina and three stores in Ohio. I was asked to take over these
stores to put them back on track in the areas of personnel, store appearance, and to improve the
sales and profits by controlling the inventory levels in these stores.
