Maintaining and nurturing Tejas and Huawei NMS

Planning of new network mesh according to the need and forecast the

future expansion

Provide links for the 3G WiMAX and Internet Leased Line

Document the configurations of the network and keeping inventory of

the systems

Accountabilities:

.Monitor transmission network using NMS tools.

.New provisioning, troubleshooting and restoration VC4_4c, VC4_16c,

VC4, VC3, VC12& EOS links based on the demand/complaints from

customers with minimum restoration time using NMS and NMS client.

.DCN management of new node integration in network.

.Proper escalation of fault & problems to different levels as per

escalation matrix.

.Imparting knowledge and share new tactics involved for new issues to

Engineers.

.Bandwidth planning according to the customer requirements and

rescheduling/restructuring the network for the efficient utilization

and for more resiliencies.

.Maintaining the data for new provisioned circuits.

.Perform day to day maintenance and monthly maintenance viz., checking

the ring protection mechanism, card and port protection mechanism.

.Migration from old versions to newer generation systems.

. Install upgrades of software and hardware from vendor.

.Co-ordination with vendor for critical network faults/new

Implementation (Major card failure, NMS related issues)

.Writing test Plan/Requirement, case design and executions.

.Handled STM16/4/1 of Tejas and STM16 of Huawei products. These

Products support E1/DS1, E3/DS3, STM1/4/16/64, Transmux (E1/E3 &

DS1/DS3) and FE/GE Ethernet Interfaces (802.1q, 802.1ad, 802.1ah).

.Mentoring and guiding new members.

Foreground:

.Hands on experience in the entire life-cycle of Tejas Products viz.,

TJ100MC1, TJ100MC4L, TJ100MC16, TJ1500, and of Huawei OSN3500 -

including installing, commissioning, DCN and maintenance.

.Develop actions based on SDH Alarms & their consequent actions.

.Develop maintenance plans in the area of SDH interface compliance,

Ethernet Transport & Switched systems, Performance Management, Fault

Management & Network Management Systems.

.Design the network Automatic Protection Mechanism viz., 1+1 MSP,

SNCP, Tandem SNCP, MSSP according to the network needs.

.Working Experience on Network synchronization using External BITS

clock.

.Working Experience on the Next Generation SDH products, mainly

Transport Ethernet Applications such as Auto negotiation, Link

Integrity, Flow control, Generic Framing Procedure (GFP), Virtual

Concatenation (VCAT), Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS), LCAS

protection

.Working Experience on the Real-time Ethernet & VCG performance

monitoring parameters.

.Knowledge on L2 Switching functionalities : .1Q/Q-in-Q Tagging, MAC

based switching, LAG, Port Mirroring, Quality of Service (QoS)

parameters like Access Control List (ACL), Ingress Rate limiting

(IRL), Egress Rate Limiting (ERL),
