Attn: HR & Talent Acquisition Manager RE: Entry-Level PLCs’ Jr. Electrical Controls Engineer Tech. / Automation (PLCs’), Maintenance Technician and Hybrid Employment (not married no children available to travel 100% 24 hours field and office roles $23.00 per/hr.),

I am submitting my resume for your consideration for any opportunities that you may have in your electrical engineering or the PLC departments. Being born and raised in “The Motor City” the birth place of the “Square D”, circuit breaker, home heating, “Devicenet” and the automotive kingdom has afforded me a passion math, computers, communication for electrical engineering and the related technology. My name is Ronald Harris and I want to be an Electrical Controls Technician with a progressive corporation that will utilize my skills fully. I matriculated my first Degree in Construction with a minor in Architecture. My current studies are similar and require much of the same information that I have utilized for much of my career, such as cost estimating labor related to owner profits and the bidding process. My innate abilities of critical thinking and logic are my personal strengths and play to my advantage when the two careers are compared.

The following questions and answers come to mind when I consider what you may require of candidates for your employment:

Do I want to be Maintenance/Controls Engineering Tech.? Yes, and I have made an investment that most corporations with high moral make in there human capital all that I need is the experience. Currently, I possess the following skills; Motor Starters, relay switches, symbols and blueprint reading, wire sizing, load calculation, NEC Code for hazardous environment requirements, sequence of operations, boiler operations, PLCs’, Robotics, power distribution, VFDs’, transformers, renewables and retro-fitting. I’m a hybrid that will improve production and future retro-fittings.

If so, on the undergraduate level I am pursuing? Electrical Engineering Technician and Computer Science. This will be my second career and degree. In anticipation of the conclusion of my current course studies I am making my application to you in the hopes that where my career is going is consistent with the needs of your company. Should that be the case, please consider my resume when deciding which candidate is best suited to increase production efficiently by minimizing downtime and cost. I take pride in my contribution to the areas of construction and architecture and likewise my grasp of the information presented in the field of electrical engineering tech. and the related apparatus. In closing, I would add that I am willing to relocate, travel and look forward to speaking with you regarding my qualifications.

Sincerely,

Ronald E. Harris
