Project Name: Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) – Process Measures & Top 100 Key

Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Project Description: The roll-up objective of the two projects is to enable business to make better,

informed decisions, thus improve business performance.

Process project: Review business processes and table measures that will monitor

the process effectiveness.

Top 100 KPI’s project: Extract the organization’s strategic KPI’s and perform an

analysis with the following objectives:

1. Deconstruct the KPI’s (including the definition, objective, calculation,

dimensions, processes etc.). The analysis must support Eskom’s strategic

imperatives and work toward “one version of the truth” across all

business areas.

2. Work with the BI team to automate the KPI’s.

3. Unpack each KPI into a Value Driver Tree (VDT), with the following

objectives:

• Show the relationship between supporting vertical and horizontal

measures.

• Enable business to use the VDT to make informed and better

decisions, using a “cause-and-effect” framework.

• Provide business with a method and tool for “what-if” scenario

planning & analysis.
