PROFILE
I strive to be involved in the strategizing process based around business impact: maximizing on
clientele base by up-selling and coaching on my peer behavioral development. I am interested
in visual merchandising presentation involved with the development of a successful business. I
want to lead and inspire a team of people who want to exceed their own successes.
EXPERIENCE
STORE MANAGER, ALDO USA; SAN FRANCISCO/LOS ANGELES, CA 2009-PRESENT
I am responsible to oversee assistant managers and their division of responsibilities. It is
imperative to hire, staff and schedule according to peak business hours and associate
performance. Upholding visual standards is important as well as merchandising according to
sell through, best sellers and VP (visual presentation). I have my hand in coaching and
developing a team to be successful in their selling techniques/behaviors. It is vital to ensure that
the team of staff remains consistent with conversion, IPT (items per transaction) and
productivity (shoe care, handbags, accessories). I am responsible for building a team who are
sales driven and a team who will exude the integrity of the company.
VISUAL MERCHANDISER, GUESS; SAN FRANCISCO, CA 2009
I was involved in analyzing store business in relationship to merchandise placement in the store;
including mannequin outfitting, window/zone updates and proper placement of “sell through”
items. I was required to form creative options according to color story, theme and latest trends.
Communication was the key; relaying merchandise updates, store opportunities and visual
standards to the staff.
CO-MANAGER, EXPRESS; PLEASANTON, CA 2007-2009
I was to oversee the separation of responsibilities involving the management team. I was
responsible to analyze business; hire and staff the store according to season, volume and
performance. I strategized visual creative options with a team in order to build the “brand.” Time
management was emphasized when executing a floor move in accordance to season, trend,
color story, and best sellers. It was also important to assist in building a team who is cohesive in
communication, ideas, work ethic and integrity.
CO-MANAGER, EXPRESS; NEWARK/CONCORD, CA 2005-2007
I was responsible for assisting the store manager with scheduling and talent: directly involving
recruiting, staffing and hiring. I was required to analyze the business according to previous year
statistics which includes traffic trends, conversion, volume and average dollar sale in
comparison to present year. Responsibilities included observing the behaviors of my peers. I
trained assistant managers/sales team on importance of store volume, selling behaviors,
knowledge surrounding fashion and customer experience. I needed to enhance business with
new visual strategies in regards to demographic.
BRAND SALES LEAD, EXPRESS; PLEASANTON, CA 2003-2005
My responsibilities entailed planning and strategizing the layout of a floor-set. This required
sketching a map of the sales floor with specific zoning: separating color scheme, fashion stories,
and conversion drivers. I had to hire and staff a visual team which required extensive time
management and prompt deadline execution. This position also required me to manage the
business by coaching and developing the sales team on selling approaches, behaviors and
opportunities. I needed to create options based around placement of company prioritized
merchandise as well as selling strategies to drive business.
