Project Name: “STUDY ON FLEXURAL & ABRASION BEHAVIOUR OF NATURAL FIBER

REINFORCED POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITES”

Team Size: 4

Description: The main objective of project is to develop a new composite material using natural fibers. In

experimentation we took COIR fibers as reinforcement and VINYL ESTER resin as matrix.

Simple hand layup technique is used for the preparation of laminates. The prepared composites of

different ratios is been cut into ASTM standard. Finally the Mechanical test has been conducted to

determine the FLEXURAL strength and Abrasion behavior of composites.
