PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Sep 2013 - Present Masswell Development Group Inc.
Office Volunteer: CAD/CAE training with structure design and simulations. Learning popular tools of SolidWorks, UG, CATIA and pre-post processors preparation for Nastran and HyperWorks, assisting for basic tasks.
Jul 2006 - Aug 2008 Qingtone Petrochemical Science and Technology Co., Ltd
Assistant Technician: Collaborated and assisted the senior engineer to carry out design, installment and experiment of projects, worked with them to examine, repair and maintain petroleum technical instruments.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Jan 2009 - May 2013 Development of a MEMS-based infrared thermal imager
Cooperated with Agiltron, Inc to work on an opto-mechanical project with high-end industrial and medical applications. Developed coupled FEA models of micro structures subjected to infrared radiation emitted by human body combining heat transfer theories with thermal stress analyses. Generated simulations in COMSOL, ANSYS and ABAQUS, compared results with analytical model built in Mathcad and researched their use for the optimization of the thermomechanical responses. Upgraded the interferometric readout system by calibration and characterization using Excel for data acquisition and processing. Tested MEMS chips to show thermograms and modified algorithms in MATLAB for noise calculations. Prepared presentation and technical report for the results.
PROJECTS
Finite element analyses of circuit board Jan 2010 - May 2010: Modeled a circuit board assembly used in electronic devices field with ANSYS. Simulated its dropping process in LS-DYNA and analyzed its Eigenvalue problem, mode shapes and frequencies, stress and strain influence, loading and weld issues, etc.
Truss structure analyses Jan 2010 - May 2010: Modeled a truss structure both by coding in MATLAB and simulating in ABAQUS. Analyzed its internal force, stress and displacement, compared the results.
Impact finite element analyses Jan 2009 - Dec 2009: Performed two projects of bird impacts on engine of aircraft and automobile collides a rigid wall in LS-DYNA, studied velocity and energy issues and running time effects.
