I am a 20 year old male who is a practical and polite person, i am a team player who has
played football for the top DJM team every Saturday since being 9 years old, and
represented Devon for two seasons. (References available) I am motivated person and
have the physical ability to work within all types of trades. Honesty and reliability are
positive attributes that I possess. Since my first job on site I have gained a vast number of
skills across many different areas, focusing on carpentry which I am now a qualified level 2
carpenter currently in the middle of completing my level 3. Before starting my level 2
carpentry apprenticeship I undertook a plastering apprenticeship which I didn’t complete
because I didn’t enjoy the trade, although this has benefited me as I have around 5 years
experience in both domestic and site work. I am a very determined person who is hard
working and strives to reach my potential. I can work well as part of a team and
independently, I also find it easy to talk to people and have no problem with presenting
myself in front of groups of people. With experience in the trade I have no problem with
starting at the bottom and doing any job given to me.

Career History
I have had experience doing a holiday and weekend job at Jaycee hairdressers in Plymouth
where my responsibilities were greeting customers, answering phones, assisting the stylists and
cleaning the shop floor. At 15 I did Two weeks work experience for Widey Court Primary School
where I worked alongside a teacher, assisting him with his daily duties. Since leaving school I
enrolled on a plastering apprenticeship, but I quickly realised this was not the trade I wanted to go
into but has given me experience in different aspects of construction as i was working for a
general building firm. I have carried out various carpentry, bricklaying and laboring tasks and
gained almost 5 years of building experience in both private and public sector, and also hold a
cscs card for site work. I then concentrated on Carpentry and started my apprenticeship, I have
now completed and been signed of my level 2 site carpentry and joinery apprenticeship and am
now working towards my level 3. During this time I have worked away for a year in Preston which
entailed renovating a old pub into luxury student accommodation. This job involved various
amounts of different carpentry skills, I gained a lot of experience from this job as and extension
was built so I had knowledge of both existing build and a new build. I also do other jobs alongside
our current project Mutley Conservative club. The company I have been working for also has the
maintenance contract for a vast amount of student property which I have on a numerous
occasions been called out to carry out work on these properties. I work to a high standard and
take pride in my work and my skill is recognizable in any trade.
