Exel Eddyville, KY Facility (Previously Seapac, Inc.) 2003 – 2009
General Manager
• Strategic manager for stand-alone chemical processing, packaging and warehousing operation with 4 processing lines that screen, grind, blend, package, store and ship 80 Kilotons of customers’ products. Processes include dry/liquid blending, FFS packaging, FIBC filling, repackaging, oversize/contamination removal, polymer sizing, and liquid solution manufacture
• Oversee 8 salaried managers with 50 hourly associates in a 24-7 facility
• Responsible for start-up of facility including design, procurement, installation and optimization of 3 separate polymer grinding and chemical solution process lines
• Facilitated integration of site resources from family owned enterprise to the largest contract logistics provider in world following acquisition of Seapac, Inc. by Exel in 2006
• Implemented productivity improvements that increased production volume from 80MM lbs to 140 MM lbs. per year, while also integrating additional processing equipment into production line
