Project Undertaken
Project Title: “Bioanalytical method development and validation of prospective anti-
malarial compound and its application to preclinical pharmacokinetic study”.
Project Supervi sor: Dr.Wahajuddin
Project summar y: Accurate quantitative analysis is one of the most integral parts of
pharmacokinetic studies. The objective of the project is to develop and validate a sensitive,
selective, precise and accurate bioanalytical method for quantification of the prospective
anti-malarial compound in biological matrices. Method development and validation will be
carried out as per USFDA guidelines, using LC-MS as the bioanalytical technique of choice
due to its better sensitivity and selectivity. This validated method will be used to analyze the
test samples of preclinical pharmacokinetic studies and in-vitro metabolism studies.
