Responsible for the overall architecture, implementati on and support of the entire Enterprise systems’
functionality in Amazon Web Services. Responsible for the migration of physical systems (Domain
Controllers/DNS, MSMQ, Dev, QA and Production environments) to AWS. This responsibility also
includes ensuring PCI compliance, High Availability and management of multiple Systems Engineers
across the USA, and ensuring more than 1.5M customers are being delivered the best experience and
solutions possible 24 hours a day.
Heavily involved with the automation of systems using custom scripting (Powershell/Python), along with
creating scaling groups and scheduling systems to turn off and turn on to save cost. Very familiar with
AWS data backup (snapshot, AMI creation) techniques, along with data-at-rest security within AWS.
Position is vertically integrated with Dev and InfoSec teams, to ensure Dev, QA and Security appliances
are built out in AWS, supported and ongoing enhancements. Worked with InfoSec teams to implement
AlertLogic, TripWire and CheckPoint solutions within AWS. Setup MFA for instance RDP/SSH logon,
worked with teams to lockdown security groups, setup specific IAM profiles per group utilizing newly

Also setup a Storage Gateway that links the headquarters EMC VNX server to AWS and vice versa.
Position is an on-call 24/7 position, with face time and reporting to executives of the company regarding
systems issues and impacts based on them. Utilized CopperEgg, New Relic, Splunk, Pager Duty, Gomez,
DynaTrace for Infra/App monitoring, reporting and paging. Implemented Chef for automation and
worked to ensure 6 key systems engineers were properly trained on how to use the solution and how it fits
