Implemented Medical Plan design changes that reduced our medical inflation to
less than 6% for the last 5 years. Premium reduced over $1 million for CY 08
Implemented “The Healthy Outlook Program” to change the health profiles of our
employees. This program has clearly helped us to contain medical inflation below
national average increases. The program includes: Health Fairs, 10,000 Step
Walking Program, Weight Watchers, Smoking Cessation, Financial Wellness Planning
and a new exercise center with various exercise programs.
Implemented annual communication plans at all locations and significantly
improved the results of our employee opinion surveys. The annual communication
plan included a benefit statement and presentation that showed the cost of all
benefits and the true individual total compensation.
Moved our relationship from an adversarial to a cooperative environment with
our only domestic union.
Integrated new European acquisition into Ridge that enabled us to improve our
product offerings and to expand into adjacent markets.
Implemented a Leadership Development Program for our high potential
employees.
Worked with a team of human resource professionals and company attorneys to
develop a training program called “You and The Law”.
