workers against free falls (body guards, safety of harnesses or

Role: Field Engineer.

Project: Oil sands project: Construction of roads, culverts,

buildings, ponds and drainage works. Cost - 650 M$ - ( 5 months).

Structure- PO-08-16962.

. *. Made sure the crew clearly understands pre-tasks instructions,

safety job hazards and the importance of daily equipments maintenance.

*. Assisted the foremen and supervised the execution of the work in

coordination with the superintendant.

*. Provided technical information (drawings, specifications, technical

norms) to the foremen in charge of the earthworks (site grading), and

the construction of the structures.

*. Coordinated with the geotechnical laboratory GOLDER and checked the

compliance of the concrete and soil compaction tests with the

specifications and norms.

*. Prepared the package and obtain the ground disturbance permit from

the MEG Energy, the owner, when we dig more than 1 foot.

*. Coordinated with the survey department to obtain as built drawings

necessary for the turn over packages.

*. Prepared the Request for Information (RFI) and obtain the reply

from the Engineering firm WORLEY PARSONS, when changes in the design

are deemed necessary.

*. Prepared Construction Work Plans (CWP) for every new package of

work and assisted the foremen to use it properly.

*. On a monthly basis, prepared the productivity forecast sheet of

every task to be performed.

Coordination with the cost department:

*. Wrote daily report to send to MEG Energy, the Owner.

*. Approved time cards of the crew, corrected the cost codes and

transmitted them to the cost department.

*. Compiled the man-hours lost for the work carried out every week.

*. Calculated the quantities of materials for the Labour Distribution

Report (LDR)

*. Prepared the purchase requisition forms and send it to the

procurement department.

Coordination with Quality Control department:
