I am a hardworking and motivated team player who is passionate about Design and Administration. As a graduate of
OCAD University who acquired a Bachelor of Design, I am now looking for a position available that appeals to my interest
and skills. I enjoy working as a team with a results driven attitude and I strongly believe that my experience through relevant
coursework and employment will make me a positive addition to the your workplace. As an employee, this is what I can
bring to the table:
- Big Picture Perspective - Throughout my 4 years of studies, I have continuously worked in various
administrative, representative and retail positions, as a mean to acquire valuable work experience. Some of this experience
included:
Working in arts administration as an assistant, which involved the recording, digitalizing, organizing of various hard copy and
digital data pertaining to the University’s Facilities department, including invoicing. Furthermore, working as an OCAD
University representative and liaison officer, conducting tours and giving speeches and presentations on the University at
various high schools. These positions have allowed me to develop not only a strong work ethic, but also the ability to work
efficiently during peak times at a very fast pace, which I feel has always helped me tremendously in the workforce. Having
had experience in both conceptualizing and actualizing, I believe that my big picture perspective will make me a unique
asset.
- Team Work Skills – As a University portfolio assessment monitor, I was responsible for communicating important
information between professors and prospective students, as well as monitoring the on-going activity in the assessment
room and ensuring the entire process was completed within an established time frame. My quick ability to adapt, and
superior interpersonal skills allow me to cater to each individual’s needs in an effective and genuine fashion. My team work
skills always allow me to contribute to a productive work environment. Additionally, I have also had the opportunity to
participate and curate in a variety of collaborative public events and projects such as The Big on Bloor Festival, and most
recently, in the Gallery 1313 show entitled “R.I.P Morgan Freeman”, which was showcased during 2013’s Nuit Blanche
Festival.
- Client Focused Attitude – The Hudson Bay Company has heavily relied on the strong relationships that in-store
employees create with its customers. I was trained as a Sales Associate to discover and fulfill my clients’ needs in a genuine
and dedicated fashion. By delivering quality work and catering to their individual requests, I was able to build real, long
lasting relationships that strengthened company and store loyalty, and increased sales. I believe I can bring the same client
focused attitude and exceptional customer service skills to your work environment.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how my talents align with this position and your organizational
objectives. Attached are my resume and references for your viewing. I look forward to hearing from you.
