GS 2010 12/12 Inventory Management Specialist
Performs technical, intensive, integrated management of TACOM Major and Secondary items. Management is at the National
Inventory Control Point level with system wide, national/ international impact. Difficulty and extraordinary degree of
management intensity is typified by the following characteristics: secondary items are typically super-high dollar value
($500,000 or more), require close control of inventories through complex supply control studies (LMP) and other management
techniques, involved in complex logistics programs, have high density and activity, require presentation of supply control
studies (MRP) to top management officials at TACOM and require close coordination with project managers, item users, etc.
Major and secondary items are critical to mission use (active duty/deployed units, training, etc.) difficult to obtain, involve
assembly problem resolutions, large numbers of unprogrammed requirements, fluctuating lead times, frequent policy and
program changes and coordination with commodity managers other than TACOM. Some assigned duties for major and
secondary items may include requirements computation, provisioning, rebuild and disposal direction, distribution and funds
management, procurement and cataloging direction. May coordinate efforts of supply specialists and support personnel
associated with a particular group of items and review their work for technical adequacy. Manage and maintain component part
inventory levels as required and needed based off of demand factors. Currently serving as a Major and Secondary Item
Manager for the Small Arms Group (Individual Weapons Team, Sniper Systems). Complete all monthly Supply Control Studies
(Demand Planning) and quarterly Budget Stratifications. Create and submit purchase requisitions to procure component parts
as needed based off of consumption rates. Brief the Product Support Integration Directorate Director and the Ground Combat
Support Director during supply review. Communicate regularly with contracting analysts regarding award status of committed
purchase requisitions and the status of item delivery of processed purchase orders. Communicate with equipment specialists for
inventory issues regarding technical specifications and material provisioners on the status of new inventory introduction.
Counsel and communicate regularly with Team Members, Customers and other TACOM organizations to provide situational
logistics support. Study and solve numerous types of problems as they are presented. Prioritizes routine work and Taskers
based off of time needed for completion, suspense dates and level of urgency. Communicates with Team Members regularly on
alternate methods to perform our roles (Ex. Suggests different database tools to use, provide documentation and/or POCs for
certain issues as they are presented, etc.). Meets suspense dates for all assigned routine work as well as Taskers. Regularly
informs Team Leader and Supervisor of all pertinent issues. Adheres to all Department of Defense policies and regulations.

Business Services Analyst (Software Services)
Mainframe Software Asset Manager (Inventory/Logistics Analyst). Monitored and managed the following: Mainframe CPU
versions, installed software licenses, product locations, software maintenance management, purchase orders, software license
contracts, upgrade requisitions and CPU usage. Planned special CPU projects by obtaining quotes from software vendors and
prepared budget spreadsheets to present to EDS and EDS clients. Coordinated and directed new CPU installations and/or
CPU/software license version upgrades by obtaining software license authorization keys from vendors in a timely manner in
order to test for functionality and proper application ahead of project schedule in order to avoid client service outages after the
new system was made available by the EDS hardware delivery team. Regularly communicated with EDS accounts payable and
vendor accounts receivable teams to ensure payments were received. Forecasted future software maintenance renewals
annually. Calculated monthly software license expenses for client billing purposes. Performed research and analysis of
situational software license and compliance issues. Regularly briefed EDS leadership with updates on special CPU projects and
any situational software license issues. Regularly assisted teammates with situational CPU and/or software licensing issues.
Created purchase requisitions in the Corporate Administrative System (CAS) for new licenses, maintenance support, upgrades
and discontinuances for primarily mainframe and some desktop, midrange and network system environment software licenses.
Project manager liaison between hardware/software delivery teams, EDS leaders, financial analysts and software vendors for
CPU upgrade projects.

Reviewed financial contractual terms with customers and finalized auto loan agreements. Assisted customers
in the initial phases of processing auto loan applications. Calculated monthly income of potential customers
and performed analysis as to whether or not customers could feasibly pay monthly or bi weekly car note.
Processed and analyzed credit bureau reports for customers in order to decide whether or not they could
purchase a vehicle with auto loan financing.

Sales Associate
Operated cash register and all Point of Sale Terminal transactions (Ex. Cash, check, charge and gift card
Purchases, returns, processing store credit card applications, item searches). Trained staff members on
various store operations. Worked very closely with management on special projects, cash drawer countdown
and loss prevention. Provided customer service in all areas of the store. Processed new stock shipments as
required and placed new merchandise on floor display or in assigned storage space. Marketed the Old Navy
Credit Card and its benefits to customers. Communicated all current promotional offers to customers. One of
the location’s Lead Sales Associates at time of departure. Also responsible for interior and exterior cleanliness
of store, to include trash disposal, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning bath and break rooms and sanitizing
