Bays, Acute Care Ward, Kandahar Air Field, Forward Operating Base
Ghazni and other locations where deployed.
. Ensured that patients in my care received the best medical
attention possible in a deployment setting.
. Provided trauma care to patients in the resuscitation bay.
. Assisted in the treatment of over 120 traumas during which 44
units of blood products were administered.
. Received casualties and worked additional hours to ensure all
patients received appropriate care.
. Aided in the treatment and evacuation of over 4,000 patients and
MEDEVAC transfers of over 1,000 patients.
. Provided over 500 inoculations to US and Coalition Forces for
influenza, typhoid and anthrax.
. Augmented the emergency room by providing medical aid to
incoming ground and aeromedevac trauma patients.
. Assisted with five inter-theater fixed wing MEDEVAC flights and
two FOB emergencies.
. Served as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Medic at the Forward
Operating Base Ghazni.
. Assisted the walking blood bank program, resulting in the
acquisition of 45 units of whole blood from donors.
. Served as an inner treatment medic, laboratory analyst and x-ray

training for 15 healthcare specialists.

care laboratory and EKG screening.
