Name: Marie Nicholas Recovery Worker/CBT Therapist.
Location: Bedfordshire
PERSONAL STATEMENT
As a self-motivated, ambitious and determined CBT graduate, you will find me highly
focused, rational, but open minded & with a non-judgmental attitude towards people & their
situations.
I have both extensive & varied experience working with dual diagnosed clients in both
statutory and non statutory services.
I have worked in the capacity as a CBT Therapist in Mind in Milton Keynes: working with
individuals with Mental health Problems, offering 12 sessions of CBT evidence based
interventions. Pivotal to this role was the need to support individuals with a diverse range
of mild to moderate presenting problems from, anger management, bereavement,
depression and generalized anxiety disorders. Referring the more severe and enduring
problems onwards for more intense IAPT services.
As a locum worker I have worked with difficult to engage clients and fundamental to the
role is the need to be flexible hard working non-judgmental adapting to new situations.
My most recent role of Recovery Worker with CRI, required taking on the case load of
clients when the key workers were off sick. In effect this was being responsible for 40 plus
and 35 clients respectively within the period of 6 weeks. I am deeply committed to
improving the quality of lives of those suffering from mental health problems across a
diverse population.
