EXPERIENCE

CIM Industries, Inc., Houston, TX. Purchasing and Inventory Specialist, 2003-2013

Scheduling and production setup for manufacturing of chemical products. Purchasing

and negotiate pricing of all raw materials for production, office and shipping supplies,

and most warehouse maintenance. Maintain a good relationship with vendors and

freight companies for best pricing for the company. Receive all purchased materials,

check for accuracy, and approve paperwork and forward to the accounting department.

Receive sales orders from the customer service department, enter all paperwork, pull

orders and insure accuracy, prepare and sign all shipping paperwork for domestic and

overseas shipments. Negotiate pricing and scheduling of all freight companies. Load all

outbound shipments and supervisor hand loading of overseas containers...Instruct two

or three warehouse workers for production and order pulling. Set up and maintain

MSDS, DOT and OSHA booklets. Schedule Hazmat, forklift, fire extinguisher,

lockout/tagout, Homeland security and PPE training

Complex metals, Houston, TX. Warehouse Supervisor, 2001-

2003

Supervisor warehouse personnel and all warehouse duties. Expedited orders through

sales, inventory control and packaging. Responsible for all decisions on which

companies to use for shipments, UPS/FEDEX/freight companies, etc…throughout the

United States. Responsible for all invoices and collection of payment before shipments

were sent. Duties also included pulling of orders with inventory controller, ordering of all

shipping supplies and keeping up with the most competitive pricing for freight

companies and shipping supplies. Overseeing 30,000 square foot warehouse and all

products enclosed. Also overseeing and preparing shipments for overseas

containers.

Diversified Lithographic, Houston, TX. Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control,

1988-2001

Prepared all completed orders for shipping, including labels, packing list and paperwork

for UPS, freight companies and local couriers. Completed paperwork with freight

charges and amounts for accounting to invoice customers. Operated forklift extensively

and safely. Received products from outside vendors and production plant. Inspected

shipments with packing slips and purchase orders and gave to accounting. Stored

products into on-site warehouse or took to production. Received and stocked customers

inventory into on-site warehouse. Completed all paperwork for all incoming and

outgoing orders. Orders received from customers via fax, e-mail and telephone. After

shipments were completed, I was responsible for all computer entry and reports to sales

department, customer service and all customers. I worked closely with customers on

Inventory Control, Reorder points and Amounts, questioned related to Reorder points,

warehouse inventory and shipment quantities. I suggested amounts to ship and reorder

based on past usage per software records.

SMITH LIMOUSINE SERVICE AND AIRPORT CABS, INC.-Newport News, VA .

Owner, Operator, 1982-1987

I took over all daily operations of the company upon my Fathers untimely death. The

daily operations included accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, hiring

of employees, dispatching all vehicles to the assigned pick-up locations. Meeting each

commercial airline that arrived at the airport and selling tickets for seats in the

limousines to each of the cities in the area. We were the only company at any of the

area airports that provided door-to-door service. The company had 45 employees and

29 vehicles at the time I took over. I had to oversee daily maintenance and decide which

companies would do repair work on the vehicles. I had to negotiate contracts with the

Airport commission. The company had a contract with the airport to provide

transportation of passengers to and from the airport and all outlining cities. The hours of

operation were approximately 19 hours per day, seven days a week, 365 days per year.

The company had contracts with each Airline that operated at the airport to deliver all

lost baggage and supply transportation of their passengers to other airports in the event

of mechanical failure or bad weather. The company had contracts with the Colonial

Williamsburg Foundation to provide transportation and tours from their hotels to The

Jamestown Foundation, The Yorktown Foundation, Carters Grove Plantation, Busch

Gardens and Water Country USA. I also had to negotiate contracts with the shipping

agents to provide transportation for foreign seaman when their ships were docked at the

Newport News Shipyard. We also had contracts with the local hospitals to deliver blood

and supplies from one facility to another. In the state of Virginia in order to operate a

limousine service you must buy your tariffs from the State Corporation Commission.

This gave the company the right to transport persons from point A to point B. I had to do

all the yearly reports for the commission and are all reports for price increases. In order

to operate the Taxi service, permits and licenses needed to be attained from the City of

Newport News. Daly reports of the number of passengers and luggage delivered to and

from the Airport had to be received by the Airport Commission.
