Responsible for leading a 3-shift Machining operation and 2-shift Assembly plant consisting of 11 different cast
iron / aluminum work cells & 2 high-volume assembly lines. These areas are staffed with up to 510 factory
associates and 7 Production Supervisors. Reporting dotted-line to me are 5 Manufacturing Engineers, 3 Quality
Engineers, 3 Material Schedulers and 5 Quality Technicians.
Duties in this continuous improvement role include:
Directly responsible for achieving Manufacturing Income targets as a % of Net Sales
Establishing and deploying plant goals
Ensuring adherence to key metrics in safety, quality, schedule, & cost
Preparing annual department financial plan using marketing forecast models
Communicating with vendors, customers, and sales to assure customer expectations are exceeded
Managing up to 85% of the variable costs input to this plant

machining and engine assembly process. Department staffed with 12 factory associates and 6 administrative
associates.
Duties in this role consisted of:
MRP scheduling functions providing components to assembly and raw casting materials for machining.
Communicating with vendors as well as customers to formulate production plans and delivery schedules
Controlling annual inventory value of over $216,000,000 that is turned 24 times per year
Directing plant logistics including traffic scheduling, receiving and shipment of finished products
Training associates in the operation of material handling equipment and SAP inventory system

Responsible for the operation of 6 letter-shop departments that included 55 factory associates and 7 Production
Supervisors overseeing a two-shift operation

Scheduling equipment for daily production on Folders, Inserters, Labelers, and Sorters
Maintaining postal documentation per US Postal regulations

1994-1995 Extrusion Superintendent
Managed installation of aluminum extrusion equipment and electrostatic paint line. Supervised the extrusion and
paint operations in support of 11 different aluminum window and door assembly lines. Also provided extensive
safety and forklift training for this support operation which included 30 factory associates, 4 maintenance
technicians, 2 Foremen and 2 Die Repairmen. Responsible for maintaining process control within design
specifications while improving raw material yields.
1994-1994 Vinyl Production Manager
Responsible for the safe operation of 8 window assembly departments with 68 factory associates and 4 Production
Foremen. Duties included scheduling optimum production runs, recruiting, interviewing and staffing, reducing raw
materials inventory, reducing scrap, improving productivity, and providing finished products for on-time delivery
to customers. Also performed time studies in start-up departments determining production standards and line
balancing.

Responsible for the direct operation of 6 window assembly departments with 40 factory associates. Duties included
improving productivity while maintaining stringent quality standards and strict adherence to company Safety
policies. Also performed two new assembly line start-ups during this period.
