Career objective:
Seeking a life long career that will provide me with great pay as well as great benefits.
Education:
Bloomington High School South 2003-2007
Work Experience:
Kappa Delta Sorority:
In August of 2006 I started kappa delta as a houseboy. I ensured each night the kitchen was moped, swept and the trash was emptied from the house. I selected this job while I was still in school and participating in football, however I continued working there until the school year ended and the sorority house closed for the summer.
Umphress Masonry:
I began working for Umphress Masonry in March of 2007 while I was still employed with Kappa Delta Sorority. My position title was hod carrier so my job was to deliver blocks to the Masons for them to lay. I also prepared mortar for the Masons to lay the block with. I obtained this job after achieving my goal of graduating high school mid- year.
Schulte Corporation:
I was hired on with Schulte Corporation in August of 2007. While there I completed my goal of becoming a certified fork lift operator. My duties included but were not limited to choosing products in a grid from the warehouse by using a location number and a part number. I also inspected the work of others to ensure the right item was in good condition to ship out as well as ensuring it was stacked properly. I stowed and restowed all types of materials in accordance with specifications. I identified and segregated materials by mark, type and lot number. Also I operated fork trucks for loading and unloading semi trailers. On my 90 day evaluation I received a 5 out of 5 for my safety.
City of Bloomington:
In June of 2008 I was hired on by the City of Bloomington through the Traffic Department. I was hired to complete an unfinished sign inventory project. However that’s not all my duties included, I soon began performing the same kind of work the fulltime employees performed. This included replacing and repairing signs that were missing or damaged. I also laid pavement markings such as lane lines and crosswalks. I was laid-off in September of 2008.
Cook Medical:
I started cook medical in December of 2010. My duties included loading medical grafts into medical sub assembly after extensive training on how to do so. I had to load the grafts using a manufacturers guide while having a quality control technician approve certain steps of the assembly. I worked for this company for two and a half years before putting in my two week notice and my resignation so that I could pursue other opportunities.
Let it shine lighting LLC:
In August of 2013 I started working for this commercial lighting fixture company. When I started with them my duties were to remove the old lighting fixture and assemble and install the new fixture. However, after 2 months of working there my position changed to logistics and delivery. So I began keeping count of all products we had and ensuring that every job site and crew had everything they needed that required them to successfully complete the job. However after 5 short months of working there I was laid off due to lack of company work.
