Structural design of a steel building using Steel Construction ASIC codes and
International Building Code. Design included the selection of optimum section for beams
and columns.
University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (August 2012–December 2012)
Class: Structural Analysis II (Structural Analysis of Building with SAP2000)
Structural analysis for building using SAP2000. Applied all loads from International
Building Code and obtained critical combination loads for the design.
University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (January 2012–May 2012)
Class: Aqueduct and Sewer Design
Design three individual systems for distribution of clean water, sanitary sewer and storm
water sewer respectively. Pipe dimensions, depth and discharge were determined.
Construction drawings and profiles were provided. Water distribution sy stem was
designed using Epanet.
University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (August 2011–December 2011)
Class: Highway Engineering (Determination the Pavement Condition Index)
Assessment of a parking lot using the Pavement Condition Index method. Types of
defects and index rate were determined to provide a complete report with conclusions
and recommendations.
University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (August 2010–December 2010)
Class: Highway Location and Curve Design (Design the Highway)
Complete design of a highway between two set points including but not limited to
horizontal and vertical curves, speed limits, slope, mas diagrams, profile sections for
highway. A detailed report and construction drawing were developed.
