Director - Global Data Center Operations

. Overall infrastructure, including data center/facilities, Network,

Telecom, Helpdesk, Desktop support, Vendor management,

Software/Applications, Service level agreements, purchasing of all

hardware/software.

. Working with new customers to work up a SOW to facilitate a data center

move or DC consolidation, this type of project may take anywhere from 3

months to 6 months to complete.

. Several projects using VMware to consolidate and reduce total foot print

in each data center.

. Extensive research in co-lo facilities to try to reduce TCO and data

center consolidation to utilize every aspect of disaster recovery and

eliminate overhead.

. Typical budget responsibilities have ranged from $5MM to over $50MM.

. Data Center of over 318,000 Sq ft. Responsible for all Systems

availability, co ordinations and scheduling of all Hardware / Software

using SDLC and Peregrine change tracking tool. Achieved 99.99% System

availability spanning over 10 years including nationwide networking for

ATM's and banking centers along with all Midrange systems.

. Billing responsibilities for vendors and time tracking tools as Niku.

Management a team of 80 with 6 direct reports. Wrote all procedures for

operations with step-by-step system IPL instructions.

. Focal point for all projects within the data center and backup sites

using project management lifecycle, scope of project to total cost

allocation and time and personnel requirements.

. Focal point for audit issues to direct and maintain compliance with

corporate for SOX compliance.

. Certified in processes of Six Sigma, along with ISO9000, and then

transitioned to ITIL process structure. Used best practices and tracking

metrics for results.

environment and dual servers utilizing hot site environment.

. Designed and installed a SAN network using MCdata fiber hubs, with over

eight Hitachi 3390 DASD units. With tape attached STK silos three total,

with over 540 tape drives and over 250 servers.

. Implemented a remote managed data center using Automation point software

with a centralized command center for 4 data centers nationwide. Had the

ability for secondary backup team to assume complete control at any given

time.
