Accomplished a summer training in advanced java (jee) in Globsynn, Kolkata from 16 th June to 16th July,

2012.

1. Project in summer training-online hotel booking.

Technology used-Advanced java.

Responsibility-creation of database,implementation of codings,presentations. .

Project description- online hotel booking for registered members by entering inputs like username and

password in the log in page. Creation of a database to maintain, store, and update huge and complex records

of the users, using java database connectivity(application server used is J-Boss) to link with the server using

jsp and servlet technology.

2. College final year project for 8th semester-online railway reservation

Technology used-Advanced java.

Responsibility-Creating database,coding,web page design using html,presentations.

Project description-online railway reservation enables passengers to book tickets by checking seat availability.

Two major modules includes administrator and passenger’s module. Administrator’s module performs all

administrative functions and manage inventory over LAN or the Internet. The administrator can define or

modify routes, fares schedules and assign or deny access for qualified travel agents and other authorized users.

Passenger module enables online customers to make reservations, views their bookings, make special

service requests and define their preferences over the web. Database maintenance enabled by the

administrator module .The application server used is Apache Tomcat.
