Work Experience
Cashier at Los Potrillos Mexican Restaurant 2008-2010
First job during high school, over time I was given the privilege to open and close the restaurant by
•
myself, organizing the financial report for that day and dividing the total tips for all the waiters. Had to
develop extensive knowledge of the computer program to resolve any issue that could arise.
Assistant Manager at Los Potrillos Mexican Restaurant Summer 2010-2013
During the summer throughout college, was in charge of assigning personnel shifts, under the supervision
•
of the manager hired additional staff if necessary. Often had to multitask during busy days to help the
staff with any issue they had, along with managerial responsibilities of ensuring the customer always had
a good experience. Extensive experience resolving issues with both software and customer service.

Spanish, and I tutored Spanish focusing on the speaking aspect of the language.
Experience in laboratory setting
Biology Labs
Recently receiving a B.S. in biology, I have done extensive lab experiments in classes including general biology,
cellular biology, neurobiology, physiology, ecology, vertebrate zoology, and many others. Developing cell
cultures, PCR’s, immunostaining experiments, and other labs tests commonly performed in a biology lab.
Chemistry Labs
Recently receiving a B.A. in chemistry, I have done extensive lab experiments in classes including both
inorganic and organic chemistry, quantitative chemical analysis, general chemistry, and many others.
Developing products through various separation techniques, purifying compounds to obtain the desired
product, and often identifying unknown compounds by mass spec analysis or treatment with certain
chemicals.
Experience in leadership positions
During my senior year of college, I was elected president of my fraternity for 2013. I was in charge of 26
students ensuring that the financial burden of the fraternity was paid to the national organization. Along with
the responsibilities of continuing recruitment and organizing events on campus, I had to develop a good
relationship with the entire executive board to make sure all aspects of the fraternity ran smoothly.
Communication and dedication was one of the main things I focused on for our chapter, and proper
communication helped to resolve several situations that arose during 2013. One of the things I learned was to
properly manage your time, and prepare ahead to avoid complications between school and the fraternity.
Philanthropy & Community Service
During my time in college the goal of myself alongside my fraternity was to build awareness and raise funds for
our philanthropy Push America, which focuses on serving people with disabilities. Some of the programs I was
involved in included building ramps for homes in which someone with a disability could not afford the ramp,
organizing fundraisers for programs to give financial aid to help with the everyday functions of those with
disabilities, and simply raising awareness in UNCG by passing out brochures and having events to support the
cause. I am excited to try to continue helping the members in my community, regardless of ability or disability.
Short Statement
I am aware that one of the weaknesses of my resume is a lack of experience in a professional setting; this is due
to the fact that I just graduated college and have not yet had a chance to work in a professional setting.
Regardless of this fact, I feel I can be an asset to this organization because I am a very fast learner in whatever
setting I apply myself too. I am highly motivated to start my professional career in a healthcare setting working
full time to better the lives of those around me. Some of the assets that I provide is a flexibility to accommodate
to whatever this company needs me to do. I am bilingual, hard working, and very knowledgeable with
computers. I have managerial experience, and know how to multitask in a dynamic environment when
needed too.
