Manager. Project Title: Characterization of motility and quorum sensing in

Acinetobacter baumannii and Proteus mirabilis.

1. Responsible for training all students and new personnel.

2. Responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining laboratory inventory databases,

and communicating with vendors.

3. Performs research in a BSL II laboratory with regulated key access.

4. Specializes in molecular biology techniques-RNA and DNA Isolation, RNAseq,

Expression Cloning, PCR, Western, Southern and Northern Blotting, Gel

Electrophoresis, protein synthesis, and protein analysis.

5. Compliant with SOPs, standard microbiological practices, regulations, and

guidelines for a BSL II laboratory.

6. Trained in disposal of biohazard and chemical waste in compliance with the

regulations and guidelines. Also trained in handling of chemicals, biohazards, and

recombinant DNA.
