Experienced in full life cycle of projects and worked on numerous duties. Included new

developments, enhanced and production support the GLAS (Gain Loss Analysis

System) securities tax lots accounting system of 7 million active client accounts.

The GLAS system consolidates record keeping for clients and gives an economic

view of the account for both realized and unrealized positions(equities, bonds and

options). The main function of GLAS system is to capture cost basis on opening

transactions and calculate gain/loss on closing transactions. Also, process corporate

transactions(spin off, stock split, inheritance and dividend reinvestment, etc).

Duties:

Application/system Developments.

Design, code and test application programs according to technical specifications

provided by clients. Develop and maintain technical/standard project

documentations. Attend project meetings to collect project related data, analysis

data, system design and updates. Completed projects as following:

1. IRS cost basis regulations on 1099 Tax Record (Covered/non-covered, wash

sell, account transfer, etc).

2. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MSSB) conversion.

3. Clients’ inheritance account (full or partial inheritances).

4. Clients’ versus purchase process (First In First Out, Last In First Out, Highest

price, Lowest price, etc).

5. Index option mark-to-market cost basis adjustments.

Production supports.

1. Data Production Support: on a daily basis with Gain Loss Analysis System

Operations on mass scale data recalculations (out of balance positions, cost

basis adjustments for realized or unrealized tax lots).

2. System Production Support: on call cover batch jobs abend during night time

and resume job stream without long delay. Continue investigation and solve the

issues.
