o WHMIS and MSDS trained; ensure safe laboratory practices are followed

o Performed titration, Karl fischer titration, vacuum filtration, simple and fractional

distillations, microscopy, gas chromatography, high-performance liquid

chromatography,UV and IR spectrophotometer,ICP mass spectrophotometer, fluorometer,

polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, cryogenics, crystallography,

radiochemistry,calibration of different laboratory equipment

o Excellent understanding of Microbiological concepts, good manufacturing practices

(cGMPs),good Laboratory practices (cGLPs)

o Good understanding of food preparation methods including HACCP, SQF

o Possess fundamental laboratory computer skills and statistical techniques
