Experience

I am employed as a ‘Data Integration Consultant’ with Teradata Global Consulting Center, since 2010. I have

overall more than 5 years of hands-on experience of delivering medium to complex Data Warehousing

solutions for a number of customers in Europe and Pakistan. I have successfully executed end to end

implementations with various multinational corporations (including Nordea, Volvo cars, Lufthansa –Germany,

Telenor –Pakistan, Ufone -Pakistan) having prime focus on Data Warehouse solution architecture and design.

My current engagement is with TeliaSonera, as Data Integration Consultant with prime focus on design and

development of Data Warehouse Architecture. Apart from my technical responsibilities, I have helped the

customer in defining their business requirements. I have also setup processes and templates to ensure a

standardized delivery and to track the development activities.

Professional Experience

2010 – Present

Teradata Global Consulting Centre Islamabad, Pakistan

Currently I am working as a Data Integration Consultant at the Global Consulting Center of Teradata providing

Data warehouse implementation solutions in EMEA region. I have mainly worked in Financial and Telecom

industries. My area of expertise is to design and implement the ETL processes to facilitate the Data Warehouse

solution. Some of the major clients that I have worked for are listed below;

Nov 2011 – Present

TeliaSonera – Sweden (Telecom Industry)

TeliaSonera is Europe’s 5th Largest telecom operator. During my tenure at the project I was exposed to a

technical three sixty degree views of the project form the inception to the final deliverables. Amongst the

many responsibilities I held during the project, Telia Sonera, I mainly worked as a Data Integration Consultant.

In this position my prime responsibilities include leading the Design and Development of ETL Framework;

Development of ETL jobs using Informatica, Teradata native scripts, Stored procedures and UDF scripts to

automate the Data Integration cycle. Some of the other responsibilities I held included verification of business

requirements and development of test cases.

Feb 2011 – Oct 2011

Nordea – Sweden (Financial Industry)

Nordea is amongst the ten largest universal banks in the Europe. They developed their Financial Value Data

warehouse using Teradata and a custom built Framework by making use of Datastage and Teradata stored

procedures to perform Data Integration. I worked in the capacity of the framework developer and developed

stored procedures to perform the automated standard processes of the Warehouse due to which the

performance of the project was enhanced and Data Integration code development effort was significantly

reduced.

Aug 2010 – Jan 2011

Lufthansa – Germany (Airline Industry)

Worked as a Data Integration Consultant on Lufthansa Enterprise Data Warehouse Implementation. The

project involved the data warehouse development for Lufthansa Frequent Flyer programs. This project was

implemented using BTEQs, FastLoad, Multiload, Unix scripting & Informatica for the ETL development and for

the scheduling of ETL jobs. Part of the project was also Migrated from Oracle Operational systems to Teradata

Warehouse.

Feb 2010 – Jul 2010

Volvo Car Corporation- Sweden (Manufacturing Industry)

I worked in the capacity of Data Integration Consultant on Volvo Cars Enterprise Data Warehouse

Implementation. The project was focusing on providing TREAD Reporting requirements for delivering cars to

United States. DataStage and Teradata native SQL was used for the Data Integration implementation.
