Education

29th of September 2010 Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Anthropology

At the National University of Ireland Maynooth, Fetac Level 8

My Final year Dissertation is on Politics the present and future.

The paper will investigate how local politics in a rural area

compares to that of politics in the inner city area of Dublin.

The study will consist of semi structured interviews of

Two councillors working in both the Leixlip and the North

Dublin inner city Constituencies. The aim of the paper is to

demonstrate through a comparison of both constituencies the

different aspects of local politics and the importance of its role

in Ireland today.

Relevant Skills

Team Work Capacity

Since 1997 I have always worked in an environment heavily reliant on teamwork. I as a

soccer coach, took on the role of team leader, assistant manager, and coordinator of

programme details, however the decisive component was I always worked with and part of a

team of people to achieve a particular end goal.

Initiative

As an entrepreneur and self- employed person it was incumbent of me to source work and

network in the greater Dublin area to help my business grow. Initiative was of paramount

importance in that I had to constantly tailor my practices to the changing working environment

over time.

Organisation & Attention to Detail

I was responsible for the development of community awareness and maintenance of a Database

of information gathered over a ten year period, which involved individual schools, teachers and

pupils. I began by offering a service to every school and community centre in the greater north

Dublin area. I eventually became responsible for a summer camp business which evolved from

the original database, this in turn eventually lead to my position as a staff member in a

secondary school responsible for the organisation and promotion of a sport scholarship school

completion programme.
