My primary client was Banco Galicia. The team I worked with was responsible for the securities

held in safekeeping. While the tasks I completed were similar to my work at Sistemas Activos, I

was given much more latitude and freedom in deciding how to accomplish and execute tasks.

Common tasks included ad hoc reporting, printer routines, and adjusting and combining existing

reporting routines to produce new information. The main tools used included COBOL, COBOL

CICS, JCL sheets, and SQL queries while running everything in the mainframe.

09.2010 - 07.2011 Sistemas Activos SRL, Programmer SSr

Sistemas Activos is a software organization that trains people to work as programmers in the

Design & Development team of Banco Frances. I worked with COBOL, developing new routines

and fixing old programs, writing the tests and documenting the results. COBOL relational

databases can be composed of indexed archives (KSDS) or tables in a SQL engine. As Banco

Frances uses a mixture of the two, SQL transactions and routines were used to query files in the

programs developed. Scheduled lists of routines were created to be executed via JCL sheets,

being called from a web site or directly run from an application.

My team was responsible for customer service for the bank’s computer services. Our tasks were

training new customers on the bank’s services and driving customers to the correct banking

processes interfaces. Processes included salary disbursement, payments to suppliers, and all

other automated processes. We participated in meetings with clients and accompanied account

officers to answer technical questions.

El Taller Soluciones is a small business of five people dedicated to the sales and maintenance of

customer PCs and networks. As a small business employee, I engaged in all tasks related to the

business, including assembling PCs to sell, repairing customer PCs, visiting clients to

troubleshoot customer networks or PCs, and installing new networks from scratch. This job taught

me the importance of teamwork and doing whatever is required to get a job done to a client’s

satisfaction.

Relco is a small business of 20 people that creates and imports time clocks. As a specialist I was

in charge of the production of the time clocks, including assembly of motherboards, assembly of

clocks, and testing after assembly, all under the supervision of the company engineer. I was also

responsible for responding to requests from clients and repairing damaged time clocks at client

sites or in the workshop.
