Intern TCNJ Ewing, NJ September 2013- Present
Developed a program evaluation model for the Department of Residential Education & Housing. This model supplemented the
quantitative information gathered from the program assessments with the qualitative data collected through small focus groups,
attendance to specific programs hosted by ResEd staff members, and personal interviews with student staff members as well as
residential students. Qualitatively analyzed the information gathered from current programs and assessed the effectiveness of
residential programing to improve marketing strategies for the department.
Research Assistant TCNJ Ewing, NJ January 2010- May 2013
Experience in applied urban medical anthropological research with the Latino community in Trenton, NJ through the
Department of Sociology & Anthropology. Projects included public health assessments, medical verification of cultural
practices pertaining to Latin American women during pregnancy, and studying the connection between culture & psychiatric
health of Latinos. Collected data through field work methods such as participant observation and interviewing research
participants in English or Spanish. Transcribed and qualitatively analyzed data using inductive reasoning.
